Happy spring, folks!

Ok, the chocolate eggs are out and that can only mean one thing... let's pig out!

I didn't hit the gym last week at all, not because I didn't want to, but because Aunt Irma visited. That can be horrible. I know that it's no excuse, but it's my excuse. It's that whole feeling of feeling 'bleh' and 'meh'. Imagine that going through your mind and body as you are plodding a long on the treadmill. But, I kept to my so-called 'diet' as best as I could. Let me tell you that it's expensive and not carefully planned out whatsoever.

My motivation for this week is that; the personal trainer is back to whip my ass back into shape. I have some new workout clothes that I want to model out in the gym. Plus I'm going to attempt to go jogging in the park.
I bought myself an arm band for my IPhone, so I'm hoping to listen to some running music as I run. Hopefully it will have the same effect as in those films such as; Rocky and Flash dance. Imagine the songs 'She's a maniac, maniac on the dance floor...' buzzing through your ears as you run through the park. There's also a mini gym apparatus thingy there. So a few minutes of madness in there.

I now have a new motivation for achieving my goal. Towards the end of June, I shall be reunited with the hubby. I'm hoping for a kind of make-over look. Shape up my not so-bad and not so-great bod to a toner and fitter bod, finished with great looking hair.
I'd say that's definitely achievable. I just have to cut out the crappy bits of my diet and count the pennies.

So, focus, focus and focus on the new objective. Many mountains to climb, yet many obstacles to overcome. In the words of John Fashinu 'Awooga!'

Do you remember the first time?...

Usually a blog should start on a Monday. First day of the week; most 'not looking forward' to the day, day of the week.
But, I thought, what the 'heck'! Let's go for it.

What would this blog entail? (You might ask yourself) Well, a realistic view of how everyday people, who don't have the money to fork out on the latest fitness equipment, beauty so-called 'miracles'. A determined, machine mentality of eating completely healthy without an ounce of carbs or sugar. Going on even these fad diets that we hear, ranging from The Atkins Diet to detoxing like you're in a sauna.
No, thanks! In the real world, all of these things don't happen to us. Us, who work long hours, don't have the time to create these healthy packed lunches in advance, who can spend hours in the gym or remember to keep note of all the food that goes into our mouth and record it in a food diary. It's just not on!

So, I'm going to start by saying that I've eaten more than I should today. Eaten too much chicken, that soon I will become one myself. I had a Pepsi with my lunch, but c'mon; I'm having a roast chicken with corn on the cob, who is going to have an orange juice with that? (Tip, don't go to Frankie and Benny's. Food is bog standard, definitely not worth getting overly excited for)

For dinner this evening, I had a healthy Chinese dinner. Meaning, white, boiled rice with rice noodles soaked in a broth. Didn't want to pig out all day.
My exercise today was spent walking up and down the high street for a total of 2-3 hours. I don't know how much that accounts towards calories burned, but according to the pedometer ...(checking app now), I've walked 8,821 steps.

Let's see how the next few days will come a long and take it's toll on I...
